J'ai été forcé de l'utiliser dernièrement à cause de ce put+++ de windows10.

Il parle de wine donc ça doit aussi marcher sur Linux?

Edit, mais tu as réussi à lancer l'installation en fait si je comprend bien? C'est pour lancer le jeu que ça ne va pas?
Donc je ne sais pas si le tom's installer peut t'aider.

Est ce qu'on peut installer des codecs sous Linux?

Merci, je vais essayé bien que ça ne semble pas spécialement dédié à Wine mais plutôt à Windows 10 ici, je vais quand même tenter.

Ce que j'ai déjà fait:
L'installation de base se déroule bien sous Wine mais c'est vraiment les exécutables du jeu qui déconnent même patchés,. Ils ne se lancent pas chez moi...Enfin (retour au bureau) après une fenêtre noir, sous Linux donc. J'ai su le faire tourner sur une autre machine équipé de Windows 7 en suivant le tutorial vidéo d'Acro et avec les codecs mentionné par Mystère. Wine est sencé être compatible avec les applications Windows 7 par défault ici.

J'ai su installer les codecs que Mystère mentionne dans ce site "TrueMotion2?" je crois. Ca se fait dans Wine ceci.

J'ai carrément repris la configuration de FFVII dans Windows 7 native sur l'autre machine vers Wine de Linux en changant la base de registre de façon à se que ça corresponde avec la config de ma version fonctionnelle sous Windows mais rien y fait...Ca ne va pas mieux pour FF7Config.exe ni FF7.exe sous Wine. Je vais tester ton installation.

Mais faire tourner FF7 sur linux est trés possible à priori. Peut être même que le nouveau driver ffxn à la place de l'opengl facilite encore les choses, je n'ai pas fais attention si des spécifités linux sont mentionnés dans sa description.

Des fois j'ai été tenté de passer à linux mais la perspective de lutter avec certains jeux m'a toujours gelé, alors je trafique les windows pour virer les saletés à la place. Mais au fond je devrais peut être trouver la motivation d'essayer en système parralèle pour commencer, et voir comment ça se passe.
Ce prend toujours un temps d'adaptation de passer à un nouveau système, et de tout réinstaller en plus, c'est ça le problème.

Il faut que tu installes correctement le jeu dans le registre et je te conseille d'utiliser FFNx, sinon t'y arriveras que dans la douleur et les cris.

Pour le registre, je te copie ce que j'ai avec FFNx :
A toi de modifier les chemins de AppPath, DataDrive, DataPath et MoviePath.

Fait aussi attention, je t'ai mis les chemins de registre pour 64 bits, retire la partie "WOW6432Node" si tu fais tourner Wine en mode 32 bits (ce qui est sûrement le cas d'ailleurs).

(note : tu peux copier tout ça, créer un fichier .reg et exécuter ça avec le regedit de wine, qui devrait se trouver dans Windows/system32 ou un truc du genre)

Merci ,

Je vais reessayé avec ceux ci. Il me semble avoir déjà tenté cette version mais ça n'allait pas. Mais je n'avais pas fait attention aux clés registres me semble quand je l'avais testé. Les installateurs cités plus haut déconnaient sur Wine ici...Je viens aussi d'essayer avec le driver Aali, sans succès non plus bien qu'il permette de s'installer aussi via un fichier reg ce qui n'est pas négligeable. Mais je me pose la question pourquoi seul la version Steam de 2013 tourne ici? Aucune autre version ne fonctionne sur Linux..Sauf qu'elle est assez lente.

La version Steam de FF7 2013 utilise DirectX 9 ou 10? Ca m'étonne aussi que les version OpenGL on du mal a fonctionner sur Linux/Wine vu que c'est implémenté "par défault" dans Linux. Cependant je tourne avec une vieille Carte Graphique...Je me dis que c'est peut être ça bien que Wine soit bien à jour. FFNx tourne correctement sur quelle version(s) et partir de laquelle de Windows?

La version Steam tourne sur DirectX 9 je crois. La version originale sur du DirectX 5 (je crois aussi), Aali's OpenGL Driver sur de l'OpenGL (c'est évident) et FFNx tu as le choix, le paramètre recommandé actuellement c'est Direct3D11, mais sur Wine je ne vois pas trop pourquoi OpenGL ne marcherait pas bien :/

Surtout que FFNx a été testé sur Wine, j'ai d'ailleurs une installation qui tourne. Je vais la mettre à jour pour vérifier.
Par contre je crois que mon installation tourne avec le nocd de satsuki. Et j'ai aussi utilisé son programme de réparation des clés pour incorporer les clés dans le registre plus facilement.

Ah et dernier détail, avec FFNx tu as le fichier FFNx.log à vérifier pour savoir ce qui plante, t'as des options pour tout tracer dans le fichier de config.
(l'équivalent sur le jeu natif et aali's opengl c'est app.log).

Edit:

Dans FFNx.cfg, change "#renderer_backend = 0" par "renderer_backend = 1" (en retirant le dièse au début). La valeur auto semble bugguée sur WINE.

Il me dit que le fichier reg n'est pas valide mais je me demande si c'est normal les doubles antislashs? (je comptais changer les clé directement dans le registre après)

Aussi il y a déjà un fichier reg dans le pack FFXn pour la version de 1998, donc je ne sais pas lequel/lesquels je dois importer dans le registre du coup.

Les deux mon capitaine (d'abord tu installes le jeu correctement, peu importe comment, avec l'installateur, manuellement dans le registre ou avec mon fichier, et ensuite tu appliques le reg de FFNx). Et oui les double antislashes sont obligatoires, si tu n'en mets qu'un ça "échappe" le caractère suivant.

(et petite preuve que ça marche, je suis même carrément sur VirtualBox là)

Merci, donc c'est bien fonctionnel sous Wine apparement.

Je n'ai pas le même fichier de configuration apparemment. J'ai pris la version 1.7.2.0 qui est la dernière stable sur le site. il vient de me demander en lancant le jeu un Visual C++ Runtime Library quand je passe la valeur de renderer_backend à 1. Mais par défault c'est pas sur 0...C'est sur OpenGL. Mais sur OpenGL ça me donne un retour au bureau directement. Quelle version de Visual C++ Runtime Library est nécessaire?

A savoir je n'ai pas installé DirectX dans Wine exepté la version de base du jeu...Et le mode de compatibilité est placé sur Windows 7 pour cette session Wine.


------Réédition-----

Je suis repassé en mode OpenGL et l'écran reste présent maintenant. Mais pas de vidéos...et le contenu reste figé sur du noir. J'ai diminué le scale à 2x en résolution 640x480, fenêtré. Ma CG n'a que 128 Mo je me demande si ça ne prend pas trop de mémoire sur la carte.
J'en doute mais est ce que installer DirectX11 vaudrait la peine sous Wine dans ce cas? Les autres modes graphique ont à peut près le même comportement pour le moment.

Alors OpenGL c'est très bien ne t'en fais pas, tu n'as pas besoin de DirectX. Et pour les vidéos, comme ça je ne sais pas. Soit il ne les trouve pas (mauvais chemin dans le registre), soit c'est un bug de codec, dans ce cas tu peux remplacer tes vidéos par les vidéos d'un pack de vidéo que tu peux trouver sur l'internet par exemple. Satsuki a de jolies choses, peut-être même un programme pour convertir les vidéos

Je serai curieux de voir les logs quand une vidéo se lance.

Je me demande si c'est pas ma carte graphique qui pose problème car j'ai toujours des soucis sous OpenGL --> écran noir, j'ai le son de la première vidéo d'intro (Eidos et les chocobos avec le logo Square normalement...) Mais je ne vois rien s'afficher sur l'écran et pas d'accès au menu principal du jeu (Nouvelle partie/continuer) comme sur ton screenshoot précédent. Ici ça reste noir. Quel version de Wine utilises tu? Avec quel compatibilité d'OS l'a tu mis ? 98?XP?Win7?

Quel version d'OpenGL utilise ce pack?

J'ai aussi essayé d'installé k lite codec pack sous Wine mais il me pose problème lors de son installation, j'ai alors installé ffdshow mais toujours pas de vidéo.
J'ai mis les lecteurs VLC sous Wine il lit la vidéo d'intro avec son mais il y a comme un filtre rouge par dessus. La version de MCP que j'ai installé sous Wine plante à la lecture de vidéo. Donc j'ai désinstallé ffdshow pour tester. MPC lit correctement les vidéos du jeu (mais pas de sons sur celle ci) Le son des cinématique est à part donc? Exepté pour l'intro du jeu.

Aussi pour l'instant je n'ai pas le son midi du jeu (donc pas de musique de prélude de FF7), juste de l'audio. Mais sous Linux le MIDI c'est pas facile à configuré.

Bref dans le jeu l'écran reste noir.

Depuis la désinstallation de ffdshow VLC m'affiche les vidéos normalement aussi (sans filtre rouge), je renote que j'avais installé les codecs TrueMotion2 auparavant.

Pour le reste, aïe, je ne comprends pas pourquoi tu n'as rien qui s'affiche. A la limite active l'option renderer_debug et envoie-moi les logs, je peux voir ça avec l'auteur de FFNx.

Pour tes questions, en vrac :
J'utilise le Wine de ma distro, une version plutôt récente. Pas configurée du tout. En plus je suis dans un environnement de merde, puisque je fais tourner mon Linux sur VirtualBox. FFNx utilise bgfx qui tourne principalement sur OpenGL 2.1, sauf peut-être quelques fonctionnalités ponctuelles (genre la transition combat).
Si tu as une carte Nvidia, je te recommande d'utiliser les drivers propriétaires.

Mes drivers linux font tourner la version 2.1.2 d'OpenGL apparement. Ce sont les derniers drivers propriétaire disponible NVIDIA 304.137, Geforce Go 7400.

Merci pour les musiques, si tu savais me donner la version de Wine que tu utilises ainsi que les composant installé dedans? Dont la compatibilité spécifié dans Winecfg que tu as appliqué pour faire tourné le jeu. Merci.

J'ai pas accès à mon installation là. Mais à priori c'est plutôt lié à bgfx, j'ai transmis ton log, ça devrait être résolu vite.

Pour ce qui est de la version du driver nvidia, c'est normal que ta "dernière version" date de 2017 ?

Edit : Okay je confirme que bgfx ne veut pas trop corriger la couche OpenGL, ton seul salut se trouve dans la mise à jour du driver nvidia à la vraie dernière version (440.82 par exemple).

Merci pour la réponse ça répond à la question du Drivers. C'est la dernière version officielle de NVIDIA compatible avec ma carte. Il y a un pilote libre qui s'appelle "Nouveau" sur Linux mais je n'ai pas eu des résultat concluant avec la version Steam via ce driver donc j'ai laissé/réinstallé le pilote officiel. Par contre il y a aussi mesa qui est cencé être une couche entre OpenGL et le processeur si OpenGL n'est pas supporté et ça m'étonne que ça ne prenne pas le relait du coup.

Je me demande si mon portable n'a pas aussi un GPU interne en + de la carte graphique.

Je vais réessayer avec les driver "Nouveau" libre sur ta version.

Ok ça marche! Soulagé.

Le driver libre "Nouveaux" pour cartes graphique prend mieux en charge OpenGL apparement.

Bon ça marche mais le reste est à configurer car c'est assez lent ici par rapport à la version Steam en DirectX sous Wine mais cette dernière n'allait pas avec ces drivers ci. Et j'ai eu un bug dans le menu principale (le curseur ne se raffraichissait pas, bien que j'entende que je le déplace). Mais je suis quand même soulagé que ça fonctionne.

Peut-être que tu peux essayer avec directX 9, mais les performances ne sont pas très bonnes pour l'instant, sûrement à la prochaine version de FFNx, je te tiens au courant

Edit: avec directX 9 faut désactiver l'anti crénelage et le mipmapping

Comment utilise t-on DirectX9? Le fichier de configuration parle de DirectX11 et 12 donc je pensais que c'était indisponible. pour l'anticrénelage et mipmapping c'est aussi faisable à partir du fichier de configuration du jeu?

Bon j'ai réussi à faire en sorte que ça n'aie plus au niveau des vidéo. Maintenant je vois le menu du jeu mais plus du tout les vidéos. J'ai voulu faire une mise à jour (manuelle) du driver "Nouveau" mais ça c'est mal passé, j'ai réinstallé le driver nouveau d'origine mais FFVII n'a plus de vidéo bien que les vidéos se lisent toujours via MPC sans ffdshow.
